In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading trailer sales for the company. What you will do:

  • Lead distributor network, providing guidance, support, and coaching to maximize their performance and productivity
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and acquiring new distributors/customers while retaining existing distributor/client relationships
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, showcasing the features and benefits of their product line
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that achieve revenue targets, expand market
  • Share and enhance customer satisfaction across the product line
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management, providing regular updates on sales activities, pipeline development, and key achievements
  • Assess and improve sales processes, tools, and resources to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms of sale with customers, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies and standards

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, marketing, or equivalent professional experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of success in sales management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the truck or trailer industry
  • Willingness to travel across the US and Canada up to 75% of the time to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit manufacturing facilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, inspire, and motivate a team towards achieving goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers, distributors, and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans that align with business objectives and market dynamics
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting, data analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of CRM software and sales automation tools for tracking leads, managing pipelines, and generating insights
