Small Adventures Communications is led by Alexson Calahan, who has nearly 20 years of experience in communications research, planning, implementation, and evaluation. She is Accredited in Public Relations and holds degrees in Marketing and Management from Drake University, as well as a Master's of Communication Leadership from Drake University. Much of her work centers around health care communications and focuses on simplifying complex medical issues for patient education.
She has led national and local public relations campaigns, securing key media wins including GMA, Today, USA Today, Dr. Radio, CNN, CNN en Español, NPR, and niche outlets
