About Us

Living History Farms is an interactive outdoor history museum, which educates and connects all peoples to the many stories of Midwestern rural heritage.

Visitors will experience farm sites representing three historical eras—1700, 1850, and 1900—as well as the 1876 Town of Walnut Hill. Each site is authentically farmed or worked by historic interpreters.

Open May through October for general touring. Special programs such as classes, dinners, and camps offered November through April.
