KEY in Des Moines stands for Keeping Educated Youth in Des Moines. It is a program connecting employers with area colleges and universities for workforce attraction. Every other month the group hosts free educational sessions. KEY in Des Moines is a division of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce.
This month's presentation focuses on Attraction and Retention of Young Talent
Both prior to and in the midst of the Covid-19 landscape, attracting and retaining young talent remains a priority for central Iowa’s business community. As part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s talent attraction initiatives Seize the City and Tallo serve as two key tools in connecting with young talent.
Seize the City is an ongoing summer programming series hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership for all college aged students in the region each summer. The series focuses on developing skills, networking opportunities, and showcasing central Iowa attractions.
Tallo is a talent engagement platform connecting students to recruiters at higher education institutions and members of the business community. Both of these initiatives leverage community partnerships and develop relationships in the talent pipeline as The Partnership seeks to continue attracting talent to the central Iowa region and retaining the young talent we already have. This month’s KEY in Des Moines presentation further discusses these initiatives and how you can be part of the ongoing work to continue growing our region!
