Homemakers Opening Saturday, May 9
, May 7, 2020 – Homemakers Furniture has announced they will reopen their Urbandale, IA showroom and business operations on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 10am, following their temporary closure due to precautions taken to help slow down the spread of COVID-19.
Dave Merschman, President of Homemakers, said, “Although we cannot forget what we’ve all recently endured, we can look for a brighter future, as we all join forces to make it a better world. On the bright side, spring is here and it’s time for a fresh, new outlook welcoming the things that make us all happier. While our homes have served as safe havens for all of us in the past several weeks, Homemakers wants you to know that we are here to continue to serve your home furnishing needs.”
When Homemakers’ showroom reopens, they will be adjusting store operations to support local public health guidance. Several safety measures have been taken to protect the well-being of both store associates and customers, including:
-Promoting social distancing practices plus adding floor markers to assist in maintaining adequate distances in high-traffic areas
-Informative signage throughout the store and warehouse as visual reminders for safe practices to ensure the health of everyone
-Providing hand-sanitizers throughout the store, as well as, ramping up cleaning and disinfecting on commonly used surfaces and areas
-Plexiglass shields have been installed for cashiers to assist in distance separation while customer transactions are taking place
