2020 IOWA WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS NOMINATIONS OPEN
DES MOINES, Iowa - Nominations are now open for the 2020 Iowa Women of Achievement Awards presented by Women Lead Change (WLC). The award recognizes the contributions of historical (deceased) Iowa women who made outstanding and lasting contributions to the citizens of Iowa or have advanced the well-being of others throughout the world.

Nomination information is here and all nominations are due by Aug. 10, 2020. Nominations remain current for three years and may then be resubmitted if not previously selected.
Up to three (3) awards are presented annually and commemorated on the Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge in downtown Des Moines with honorary plaques. This year’s honorees will be honored at a luncheon at the 2020 Women Lead Change Central Iowa Conference on Oct. 28, 2020.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, one 2020 honoree will be chosen because of her role with women’s suffrage.

Nominees should be historical women who: were born in Iowa, achieved prominence within Iowa or had been a resident of Iowa for an extended period after achieving prominence elsewhere.
