DESCRIPTION:MOXIE (Member Owners eXchange Information & Experience) is a group of member business Owners/Presidents who meet monthly with Christy Jones\, Clarity Business Coaching\, to discuss issues impacting their businesses. All member Business Owners/Presidents are invited to participate.  Everyone must sign a confidentiality clause.\n\n\n\nThis month's topic focuses on the SBDC and the State of Iowa's Small Business Credit Initiative.\n\n\n\nThe State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) is a $96 million investment in growing Iowa's small businesses\, including startups\, manufacturers and businesses owned by veterans and individuals from diverse backgrounds. The funding is available through the U.S. Treasury Department's SSBCI\, a small business aid program that was expanded through the federal American Rescue Plan Act. The Treasury Department approved Iowa's amount based on a plan submitted by IEDA. Iowa's SSBCI dollars will focus on encouraging venture capital and investment in scalable innovation companies.\n\n\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\n	\n		\n			Audra Fisher\n\n			Audra Fisher is an Iowa native growing up in rural Webster County. Audra worked for ISU Extension and Outreach in Webster County for over 20 years as the Office Manager/ Bookkeeper. During this time\, she also partnered with the Iowa Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to be their fiscal agent and compliance coordinator from 2007 through 2020. Then Ms. Fisher worked as a business counselor at the North Central Iowa SBDC before joining the State SBDC office in 2023. This experience has had her working with clients on financial analysis\, marketing techniques for success and business transition guidance.
